70 Freshmen joined us for our annual walk from the UTC campus to Clumpies.

Freshmania started as a weekly outreach of our ministry in 2006. Kirsten Hyde (an intern at the time) recognized that Freshmen provided a unique opportunity to take risks, form community, and develop trust. Freshmania is designed to be led by two student interns (Laura Cole & Kyle Nadler this year) and a team of other students who weekly plan and execute ways to minister to Freshmen in the life of the ministry - this is entirely student led! Throughout the year on Thursday nights, Freshmen serve together, play, go on adventures throughout the city, pray, praise God, and eat. Oh my goodness. They eat!

This year we have had record numbers of Freshmen (Gen Z, if you’re interested) and couldn’t be more excited for them to be known and know Jesus. 12 years later it continues to be one of our most celebrated areas of ministry.

I’ll share some numbers from the rest of the ministry below, because they are indicative of the robust life of this ministry. But I hope you’ll take a moment to pray for our ministry to new students - that they would be known and know Jesus, that they would be rooted and grounded in the Gospel, that they would be equipped for Kingdom work in the world, and that God would raise up leaders from this generation.

It’s an honor and joy to serve on your behalf.

Matching Grant Opportunity

If you have never given to The House, or haven’t given in two years, please consider giving. We are $3800 away from meeting the requirements for a matching grant with The Maclellan Foundation. And if you’re already a donor, please pray for three people to commit to $100/mo.

Note that if you give a recurring gift with the intent of doing it for an entire year, your annual pledge will be matched (i.e. - if you commit to giving $50/mo, your gift will be matched at an amount of $600 by Maclellan). You can give right now by clicking on this sentence.
