Honoring the Life of Kristin Duffy 1980-2001
Ten years ago this December, God called home a beloved servant leader in our ministry.
Kristin Duffy knew God’s call on her life, and she answered through aiding her community and serving the world with a selfless heart. She was only one semester away from attending medical school where she would have been able to fulfill her life’s calling as a medical missionary.
Kristin served The House as a resident, core group leader, and she teamed with other students to travel to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and San Francisco during her Spring Breaks. She also was an integral part of the ELISHA project where she tutored and mentored inner-city children in the Westside Housing Development after school. Kristin used her summers to organize her own mission trips, including one where she supported medical staff in Africa. Her selfless devotion touched the lives of many in our community and around the world. She exemplified Christ by putting others’ needs before her own. Not only was her life spent honoring God, but God has continued to bless others and bring honor to His name even through her death.
This ten-year mark is hard on those of us who remember her, but we have a great opportunity this season to honor Kristin and her family by donating to a mission fund in her name. True to her life’s passion and dedication to missions, this fund would ensure that any student in this ministry who feels lead to serve in a mission capacity would not meet any financial barrier.
Your gift would not only honor her legacy, but it would equip a new generation to serve His World and further His Kingdom. There is no greater gift than this.

Ten years ago Kristin Duffy, a student of The House, was taken to be with Jesus. When she died, her family and friends set up a scholarship fund for missions in her name. Given the ten year anniversary of her passing, her family and friends are again honoring Kristin’s life and passion by donating to a missions’ fund to help current students of The House participate in missions.
Please consider reading the letter from Kristin’s friends to the right, donating to the fund, and writing her family a letter of encouragement.
Each donation will go towards a scholarship for a student who is participating in missions. They will receive a scholarship as they get closer to the trip and will receive a note from from Kristin’s family or friends encouraging them, along with the money.
