The House
Every Tuesday night during the school year we host a worship service for over 300 college students. With a student led worship team and Christ-centered teaching, this is often a student’s first encounter with who we are; and we are thankful for it. We get to learn about who Jesus is, what He teaches, and thank God for Him right in the middle of the UTC campus.
Our hope is that this is welcoming environment for students to learn about Jesus Christ, praise Him together, and discover what is going on in our community. Due to the fact that a large number of students come to The House, we highly encourage students to take advantage of any number of opportunities to get into smaller groups - retreats, missions, Core Groups, social events, etc.
To the right you’ll see some examples of sermon series we have preached through in the past. Some of them are available online in mp3 or mp4 format.
Tuesdays @ 8pm
In the spring of 2011 we wanted to walk through different passages of Scripture that discuss the purpose of walls in our lives. Which ones should we build up? Which ones should we tear down? Who is Jesus in the midst of the walls in and around us?
Many of us feel stuck... a lot. Stuck in jobs, in relationships, in finances, in decision making. In the spring of 2010 we looked at what is God’s response to us when we are in these places? How does He effectively empower us to get out of the places we are stuck in? Or does He empower us to stay there? Huh?
In the fall of 2010 we wanted to seriously look at whether or not God’s words from thousands of years ago still held true for today. We walked, one by one, through the Ten Commandments and discovered how fresh they are in our lives still... and how much life can be had from following them.
